Cornerstone Community Church (CCC) is looking for a Youth Pastor


Youth Pastor General Qualifications

1. Profession of faith in Christ as his/her Savior

2. High School Diploma

3. Some College, preferably Bible College, education

4. A sense of God's calling to Youth/Children's Ministry

5. Experience in Youth/Children's Ministry, or at least some (even non-formal) experience working with     kids.

6. Agreement with our Church and Denomination's Doctrine

7. Understanding this is a Part Time position, with Part Time pay

8. Willingness to join our Church?

9. Positive References

10. A desire to serve God

11. A valid Driver's License with no active "points" (a clean record)

12. A clean Criminal Background Check

13. Hetero-sexual

Job Description

The Youth Pastor shall be responsible for ministry to the children and youth of the church.

The Youth Pastor should be sensitive and attentive to the Spiritual and Emotional needs of the Youth and Children in his/her care.

Lessons taught should be Scriptural based, doctrinally and Biblically sound, with an Evangelical emphasis.

Pursuant to these the Youth Pastor shall prepare and teach the youth Sunday School Class, Children's Church (once dismissed from the morning worship) and the Wednesday Night Youth Meeting.

The Youth Pastor should also plan with the Elder of Christian Education and the Youth Council various outings through the course of the year for the Youth and be the Primary Leader for such outings.

The Youth Pastor should in co-ordination with the Elder of Christian Ed. and the Vacation Bible School Director plan and implement VBS.

The Youth Pastor should in co-ordination with the Elder of Christian Ed., the Music Director (Norma), and the Youth Council plan and implement the Youth/Children's Christmas Musical.

The Youth Pastor should plan on attending/chaperoning the youth at Youth Awakening in January and Jr. Camp in the summer...if at all possible!

The Youth Pastor should co-ordinate with the Elders of Christian Ed. and Stewardship any and all fund raisers for the Youth and Children's Programs.

The Youth Pastor should help publicize up-coming Youth Events.

The Youth Pastor should present a report of youth and children's activities to each Congregational Meeting, and, as needed or called upon, to the Administrative Council.

The Youth Pastor should always feel free to consult with the Pastor or Elders about any matters of question or concern.

The Youth Pastor's conduct should be exemplary of a faithful Christian Life.
